July!

I can't believe it's already October! I completely missed the last few months, so I'll recap each month. Here's a quick overview of what we did in July. We took a road trip to North Carolina to visit some friends and go to we wedding. We drove down and stayed in Raleigh to attend our friend's wedding.
Scott was not impressed.
After the wedding, we headed over to the coast to stay with our friends, Will and Sal. They moved by the beach, so we went to stay with them for about a week. Scott had a great time with the dogs, their bird, and the beach!

Gazing into the distance, pondering our existence...or something like that.
Then we went up to Michigan. We went to Chris' family's house for a while to hang out with his sister, new baby Paisley, his grandparents in from Colorado, and his parents of course. Scott enjoyed playing with his great-grandma and was very interested in Miss Paisley Jayne.

and then to my mom's. We were able to show off Scott, go swimming (which he loves), and celebrate Janell and Zeb getting married.

Then, we drove over to Grand Rapids. We had a great time showing Scott off to the family, catching up with some family, swimming (which Scott loves), and celebrating Janell and Zeb getting married.

Yup, I would say we had a pretty awesome summer.

Summertime and the livin's easy...

Well, I'm officially off for summer! I had my meetings and my last day of those was last Wednesday. We have been having a great time! Scott has started to crawl already! He is still mostly doing the army crawl (more like scooting, without lifting his belly off the floor) but he is getting around quickly! We are busy running around trying to keep electronics (which seem to be his favorite) and dog toys/food out of his path, which is quite the challenge. We went to a wedding for a coworkers the first weekend after I finished school. It was a really nice wedding, but Scott was extremely tired and it took us like 20 minutes to get him to fall asleep. Other than that, he was really good. The ceremony was beautiful though!

We went to Cleveland a few weekends ago, where we met Chris' parents. We did the Color Run, while they watched Scott. It was a ton of fun!

After the Color Run!
However, Chris got sick that weekend, so he couldn't enjoy it the whole time. We also went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which is ridiculously huge. It was cool for a little while, but when Scott was getting tired and was fighting sleep, it started getting frustrating. Luckily, he passed out on the way back to the hotel. :)

We had a great time with Chris' parents, and had a great trip overall. We are so fortunate to have a happy, healthy baby!

Unfortunately, we had to spend a lot of Father's Day driving home. We went out to breakfast with his parents before we left, but then were in the car for 5ish hours. I put Scott's baseball outfit on because we were going to take Daddy to a baseball game for Father's Day! We didn't do much on the actual day, which I kinda felt bad about since it was Chris' first father's day. He also still wasn't feeling 100%, which was a bummer.

Three generations! Happy Father's Day Daddy and Grandpa!
After that, Chris set up our new umbrella for our table on the deck and we have been able to enjoy many summer dinners outside. :) Last Sat. I drove to Lexington to pick up Noelle. She came and stayed with us for a few days. We had lots of fun while she was here. We did our nails, went shopping one day, and went up to Newport on the Levee for more shopping and to just enjoy the summer days walking around. She also got me hooked on Psych, which we now watch on Netflix often. I'm really glad she came. She was one of the most polite houseguests we've ever had! (And extremely helpful!) I met Lisa in Lexington on Tuesday to drop Noelle off.
On Wednesday, we celebrated Father's Day! Chris, Scott, and I got to go to a Red's game. We had a great time! We went to a day game, but unfortunately they lost. I guess Scott isn't a good luck charm for them. We sat in some seats in the shade for a while, but soon we were in the sun. Scott got a little bit fussy from being hot, but they had a huge fan with mist that we used to cool him down a few times. I guess he was used to all the yelling, because twice when someone got in front of him so he couldn't feel the fan, he screamed. It was pretty funny. He missed his nap, but he eventually fell asleep on me, without even crying! We had a great time at the game! We also got Chris a mug with pictures of him and Scott on it. I was super excited because it turned out great and Chris loved it. :)

Yesterday, we took my car in to get the brakes worked on and Chris and Scott went with me shopping. I am so thankful for a wonderful family. We have so much fun together! We've been busy, but having a great summer so far!

Oh, Scott also has started eating real food! We started him on sweet potatoes, which he LOVED! Yesterday, we started him on peas. He seems to like them too, but not nearly as much. I'm making my own food, which I really enjoy doing and I can't believe how easy it is. Next, we're on to green beans!

Scott's first bite of REAL food! Yumm...sweet potatoes!
Finished with his first meal!
Not so sure about these peas...
Okay, I liked them...

March-June

Ok, I'll admit it once again...I'm really bad at posting pictures. Everytime I think about writing I don't have time to/don't feel like posting pictures. So I don't put anything at all. Well, now I'm out for summer so maybe (probably not) I'll get better at it. We have a busy summer ahead of us.
Anyway, here are some things that have happened and pictures since St. Patty's Day.
I went back to work March 26, but only for a week before we had Spring Break. It was a nice slow introduction back into working. Aunt Linda and Uncle Frank watched Scott for us so we didn't have to put him in daycare yet. Also VERY nice. We are very thankful for that. We were also able to see some family who was driving through. Frank, Carol, and Alyssa stopped to go to the creation museum. I can't believe how old Alyssa is! Scott has started rolling over, smiling, and laughing like crazy. We got our first professional family pictures taken at church, which were awesome. The photographer was able to capture Scott smiling so well. I don't have them on here though. Here are some pictures, enjoy!
He's sticking his tongue out at you.
So cute! This was my brother's sweater when he was a baby!
Paris was scared of Scott touching her, so I had to hold her to get a picture with him!
Family Portrait!
After searching, he found his basket in the washer!
We celebrated Easter at home. I made a bunny cake (my first attempt at shaped/decorated cake), we hid baskets, and we enjoyed spending time together.
Scott's first Easter basket!
My first attempt at a cake! I even made little eggs to hide in the grass. It was delicious even though it didn't end up like I imagined it.
Haha, I had to.

....I had to do this too. He didn't last long before crying.
Scott with his new sunglasses and bunny...

Oh, Scott also got a double ear infection, which was AWEFUL! He had just started sleeping really well at night (of course) and then it was all ruined by nobody really sleeping much.

Grandma time!
HAHA.
May the 4th be with you. Yes, I have a nerdy husband. :)

We then dedicated Scott at church, which my mom was able to attend. It was a really nice ceremony. He was good too!

After dedication

On Memorial Day weekend (also known as my birthday weekend), we went up to Michigan. Chris finished school earlier that week, so he and Scott picked me up from work so we could leave right away. We drove up to Michigan on Friday night. We were able to see family, go to a friend's wedding, and meet our newest niece, Paisley Jayne who was born on May 23rd. Scott also went swimming for the first time, which he loves. However, the water was pretty cold so it was short-lived. We had a great weekend, but it was very busy.

Ready to hang out at Aunt Linda's and have some fun in the sun!

Aww, they are holding hands! I LOVE Scott's face here.

Last weekend Scott started eating cereal because he was SO interested in our food. He opened his mouth everytime we were getting ready to put food in our mouths. He did really well with his cereal. I definitely think that he was ready.

Well, Thursday was my last day with students. Starting Monday, I have seven days of training, then I am done for the summer! We have a busy summer coming up, but we are so thankful for the time to share with family and friends.
